Jill Hagen is an eight time Canadian Covenant GMA award nominee including Pop Album, Rock Song and Folk song of the Year for her most current project, Red Letter Heart, released in the spring of 2015. She is a singer/songwriter currently residing in La Crete, Alberta and has released two other albums: Perspective (2008) and Ruined for the Ordinary (2010). Her music is described as a mix of pop, rock and folk taking the listener on a journey from light-hearted fun to dynamic guitar listening to moving soul searching. It is full of great hooks, solid beats and riveting guitars.
Jill has toured with her band throughout Western Canada and the United States. She joined the USA Extreme Tour for a portion of the west coast in 2011 and then started the first Canadian Extreme Tour in 2012. Jill's music can be heard on radio stations across Canada and was featured on Canadian TV stations, The Miracle Channel and 100 Huntley Street. When not touring,Jill enjoys spending time with her husband Mike and their two young children.
At a young age, Jill started playing piano and her passion for music carried into her adult life when she started writing songs at 19 years old. She was abasement writer and would on occasion share some of the songs with family and friends. With their encouragement, Jill recorded her first album in 2007 releasing it in 2008. That year she left her job as a school teacher to follow God's call into full time music and has been there ever since using her gifts to express her heart for God.
